P: Pasta Making

This month I am participating in the April 2012 Blogging From A-Z Challenge. I will be blogging every day this month with Sundays off (except for April 1) using a letter of the alphabet in order from A through Z. So, Basically, beginning with April 1, my topic will be themed on something with the letterA, then on April second another topic with the letter B as the theme, and so on until I finish on April thirtieth with the theme based on the letter Z.

P: Pasta Making

A while ago Ross bought the gadgets for his Kitchen Aid to make pasta.  He followed the directions and tried several times, but the pasta just wasn't coming out right.  So we made a visit to my sister and brother-in-law's for Ross to get a lesson in pasta making.

Ross getting lessons from my brother-in-law on making the pasta.

We had the pasta for dinner that day and it was delicious.

That video was taken one year ago. Neither one of the guys make or eat pasta as much as they used to.  My brother-in-law has lost about 30 pounds and Ross has lost about 20.

The pages from Anna's diary for April 17 & 18 are missing.

  1. What a fun post!  I loved watching them work together to make the pasta.  I love my kitchenaid, but never bought any attachments..My brother makes his own sausage with that attachment.   Thanks for the fun!  Wish I had pasta now.

  2. Nice post!  The video was fun to watch.  Never made my own pasta but I consider that a "yet."

  3. I love your video.  Really helpful!  I've made pasta by hand (and like I'm going to do THAT anytime soon!) but I've been wanting to get a pasta roller, and the Kitchenaid's just itching for a new attachment.  Thank you for sharing!

  4. Ross and my brother-in-law did make it seem pretty easy.  I've never tried it myself.  Good luck!

  7. I love the thought of homemade pasta, but I have a feeling it's one of those things that will fit into my schedule sometime after retirement. It was fun watching your brother-in-law and Ross--they looked like they were enjoying themselves.
