I am participating in the “April Blogging From A to Z Challenge” for 2018. Except for Sundays, but starting with Sunday April 1, I will be writing a post each day in April. Working through the alphabet, by the end of the challenge I will have posted 26 writings.
Oh the letters X, Y and Z
I havta admit, I got nothing.
I am proud that I was able to get through 23 letters of the alphabet.
I found that the challenge provided the perfect way for me to get back to writing.
I take full responsibility for the lack of comments and visitors this month. This happened for a variety of reasons.
First, I’ve been away from my blog for a couple of months. My regular pals stopped coming, which is understandable.
Second, I did not take the time to visit other blogs participating in the challenge. I attribute this to me not having my posts done ahead of time. So, I was pretty much writing my posts every day which left little time to read other blogger’s posts.
I hope to pay more attention to my blog and not stray too far away.
Thank you to those of you who did stop by. I really appreciate it.

ReplyDeleteIt seems like a long month, doesn't it?! I sturggled a tad and have had to 'stretch' the issue somewhat in my case regarding pronunciation, but it is done. I also know what you mean about the process of the A-Z. Am glad I have done it. May not do it again!!! However, it brought me to a few very fine blogs, including yours. I look forward to seeing what appears, when it appears. It's yours to do with exactly as you wish.
Love and Light. YAM xx
Thank you for your comments along the way. It was an encouragement for sure :)
DeleteI've noticed the comments dropping dramatically in this final week of the A-Z (other than Monday's letter Z). Hopefully some folks will take the week after to read and comment on different blogs they find interesting. I'm trying to keep up, but then again, I'm retired. ;)

Yes, I hope to make some visits now that the challenge is over. Me too. Retired :)
DeleteFor those of us who don't write their posts ahead of time, it really IS a challenge to post and then find time to visit others. But in truth, checking out others isn't limited to the crush/rush of April. There are so many wonderful folks to visit and new people to discover. But as you said, the discipline of the challenge can inspire continued attention to our blogs, and that's always a good thing isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI agree, I also hope to visit some of the challenge participants now that the crunch is over. :)
DeleteI managed to visit five new blogs a day, five days a week. And at this point in the challenge, I've really only gained maybe five new blogs to follow. So, don't feel too bad. You've done well just getting the posts done.
ReplyDeleteX is always hard. I'm still proud of using Ximena as my X two years back. (The X is pronounced like an H.) This year I cheated. For Y I found something I found funny. And for Z I have Zilch. Literally. That's what I'm calling the post.
I'm glad to see you back in the blogosphere. I hope you stick around in May.
Thanks Liz! I always look forward to your comments and your blog :)
DeleteI stumbled on your blog after the challenge is long over, but I'm glad I did. The first year I did the challenge, I didn't even know you were supposed to visit other blogs and comment. I just wrote the posts and got the same amount of comments as always (0-2), but the views on my blog jumped.
ReplyDeleteIn the end I realized that I don't do the challenge to get more readers or comments. I do the challenge because it's fun.
